The Chimera Large Shallow Video Pro Plus 1 Softbox for Video applications is designed for use with a broad light with a wide throw such as a Tota-light. With fabric rated for the heat of a continuous light up to 1200 Watts, the Large Shallow Plus for Video applications is ideal for work in cramped interiors where medium softening of a broad light is desired.
The "Plus" designation of this softbox means the front face of the softbox is removable. This softbox comes with a one stop diffusion cloth. 1/2 and 1/4 grid cloths are available separately. The 1/2 and 1/4 diffusers allow more light transmission and help to make the light more specular, or "less soft."
This softbox is made for lights with a very wide throw. The shallow depth of this softbox will not allow the light from a spotlight to spread out adequately within the box. Exposure would not be as even across the entire front face of the softbox.
- This softbox is 30% shallower than the standard model.
It is best suited for use with flood lights up to 1200 watts.

- This size is perfect for full-length portraits of groups of 3 - 4 people, or large objects.
- Recessed front helps to control light spill and facilitates the attachment of an optional honeycomb or fabric grid, or louvers.
- Equates to more headroom if the box is used overhead, or easier maneuvering in cramped interior shoots.
- If used with strobe heads, the head must have a protruding flashtube, which will provide adequate mixing of light inside the softbox.
