Introducing the second generation of the popular studio headphones, the DT 1990 PRO MKII from Beyerdynamic, which offer improved treble and bass response and enhanced comfort. Ideal for mixing, mastering, and editing, these headphones sport an open-back design and 45mm Tesla.45 driver tech for a balanced and natural soundstage.

With a 30-ohm impedance, the DT 1990 PRO MKII is compatible with a wide range of audio devices, including professional hardware and consumer-grade products like smartphones. The headphones sport a rugged and comfortable design, with a durable spring steel headband, a memory foam and leatherette headband pad with fontanelle recess for avoiding sensitive parts of the head, and soft velour earpads engineered to make long listening sessions a breeze. The gold-plated 3.5mm cable is detachable and sports a reliable, locking mini-XLR connection to the earcup. The DT 1990 PRO MKII includes coiled and straight detachable cables, two velour earpad sets designed for either analytical mixing/mastering or high-fidelity playback, a 3.5mm to 1/4" TRS plug adapter, and a hard case.

Thanks to their open-back design, the DT 1990 PRO MKII offer a natural, spatial sound pattern, which makes them ideal for professional mixing, mastering, and editing. Designed to present a balanced sound for handling modern productions with often complex treble frequencies, the DT 1990 PRO MKII headphones reproduce highs more smoothly than their predecessor.

The DT 1990 PRO MKII feature the latest generation of Tesla driver technology Tesla.45. Redesigned from the ground up, the 45mm driver system boasts an excellent resolution, extremely low distortion, and outstanding impulse behavior. The Tesla.45 provides signal fidelity even at high volumes.

The DT 1990 PRO MKII has an impedance of 30 ohms, which means that the studio headphones can be used with a variety of devices. When it comes to sound, the reference headphones boast precise bass response right down to the lowest octaves. The slightly reduced highs compared to the previous model offer a significant amount of information and help to avoid mistakes and missed opportunities when mixing. Thanks to the wide soundstage, instruments and voices can be precisely pinpointed. Each DT 1990 PRO MKII contains two TESLA.45 sound transducers.

Designed to maximize flexibility, the DT 1990 PRO MKII is supplied with two different types of ear pads. The Producing Velours, attached to the headphones by default, deliver a full sound thanks to a slight bass boost. The Mixing and Mastering Velours offer a more analytical sound. The earpads can be identified by the cutouts on the back: the Producing Velours have a number of small holes on the back and the Mixing and Mastering Velours have exactly four small holes.
