The MeFOTO RoadTrip Pro Carbon Fiber Series 1 Travel Tripod with Ball Head and Monopod from Benro is unique tripod that offers a range of configurations to cover every camera support need when on the move. Weighing only 3.0 lb, but with a load capacity of 17.6 lb, this tripod supports everything from compact and mirrorless cameras, up to a full DSLR with zoom lens. The 5-section legs provide a maximum height of 61.8" and a reverse-fold length of just 15.4", it is small enough to store or carry just about anywhere. The durable metal twist locks combined with anti-rotation legs allow for a fast and fumble-free setup, plus weather and dust resistance. Easily convert this tripod to a monopod by removing the center column and the padded leg, for added versatility when a full tripod is too bulky or slow. The adjustable two-section center column can also be reversed for inverted low-to-the-ground shots. Located within the center column is an internal small leg set which can be used in conjunction with the center column, leg, and head to create multiple configurations. By attaching the head directly to the small leg set it can be used as a tabletop tripod for live streaming, virtual meetings, video chatting, or weblogs.
The included Q-series triple-action ball head contains separate adjustments for pan and ball lock as well as an additional pan lock on the QR plate for even more accurate panoramic shooting. It includes an innovative PMM70 convertible phone holder QR plate, to easily switch from camera to phone in a snap, without changing heads or plates. The Arca-type compatible convertible plate mounts in portrait or landscape orientation, allowing quick and easy photography and social content capture in the same setup.

Great CF tripod
I am really happy with this tipod. It is the 4th carbon fiber one I have used, and is my new favorite. It packs up even slimmer than my other CF tripods. Great tripod!
Happy with it.
I've had many tripods in my time, from cheap and flimsy to super heavy with geared heads. This one is my new favorite. It may not handle EVERY need you would ever have, but it comes pretty darn close. Very high quality and the very small size when folded is terrific. I'm really more of a flip lock guy rather than the twist locks, but that is really just a matter of getting used to the twist locks. They work perfectly. Probably the one and only little nit pick I have is with the head. When the camera is mounted in the vertical orientation, movement is somewhat limited because the tighten knob for the plate interferes with the adjustment knobs on the head. So far it has been no issue in practical use, but it might be some day. I love the versatility of the tripod. The monopod function is terrific, and I have used the table top function with small, point and shoot cameras. Overall I am very pleased with it. I choose the carbon fiber not so much because it is lighter than the aluminum because it is only slightly lighter, but simply because it is very attractive looking and the carbon fiber feels very good in the hands compared to aluminum. I chose the blue only for aesthetic reasons, I get tired of boring all black on everything.
Highly versatile, very sturdy.
Lots of thought went into every detail of this very versatile tripod. I was looking in particular for a monopod capability, and this tripod has been cleverly designed to allow one leg plus center post to be used as a monopod. But it also includes many other very handy features. Quick release camera mount, can be used as a table-top tripod, as a selfie-stick or iPhone stand (not my things, but useful for many), many other nice thoughtful features. Very sturdy. Good value for mid-range priced tripod.
Cool little Tripod
Well thought out tripod with lots of nice features. Some of the combos take a bit to workout particularly the centre column - mono pod sections combo but once worked out the work well, just a wee bit of a head scratcher but comes to you after a few goes. The only thing I'm not so happy with it the camera plate doesn't grip very well to the camera, screwing round particularly in portrait. Like they used a grease rubber. My other Benro & Manfroto plates are fine. Cleaned rubber with meaths, a little better but still not good. I feel doing it up as tight as you can may damage camera in the end!
Lightweight, Durable and Innovative
I originally bought the MeFOTO as a travel tripod, but in short order, it's become my main tripod that I am using. It is lightweight, thanks to carbon fiber legs and smart engineering on the metal components, steady -- even with a D750 mounted onto a Nikkor 300-500mm zoom -- and compact when not in use. The travel bag that was included is a nice touch, as is the built-in micro-tripod that's perfect for action cameras like a GoPro or an iPhone.
