AudioControl P2680 Overview
The Architect P2680 EQ 16-Channel High-Power Multi-Zone Amplifier with EQ (2U) from AudioControl is an audiophile-grade amplifier constructed from high-quality components, delivering 100 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms, and 200 watts RMS per channel into 4 ohms with all channels driven.
sixteen channels of high-powered amplification are generated by the compact, 2U rack-mountable chassis to 8 available zones, with channel-bridging increasing power to a formidable 400 watts into 8 ohms. Benefitting from 35 years of proprietary cooling design, the Architect series is equipped with features like input bussing, output pass-through, global 12 VDC trigger control with inputs for all eight zones, and input signal sensing on/off. Bus A includes a coaxial S/PDIF input for a digital source, while channels and connected loudspeakers are protected by proprietary LightDrive anti-clipping circuitry. Each zone is equipped with a 5-band EQ for further control over audio settings and output.
