Atomos ATOMCON003 Overview
Expand the video and network capabilities of your Ninja V or Ninja V+ monitor with the Atomos CONNECT. Designed to fit flush to the back of your compatible monitor and secured via two screws, the CONNECT features a 12G-SDI input and antennas for Wi-Fi 6 capabilities. The CONNECT supports Bluetooth LE and Gigabit Ethernet with the integrated LAN input so you can stream to networked video switches, additional monitors, or destinations like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.
Utilize the CONNECT Camera to Cloud workflow to upload proxy files to Frame.io or Dropbox. Atomos Sync wireless timecode is supported by the device to seamlessly synchronize your connected camera's timecode for improved system integration. An L-series battery slot can power the accessory. The slender profile of the CONNECT complements the compact form factor of the Ninja V and Ninja V+ monitors to avoid adding bulk to your preexisting gear configuration.

Work flawlessly
Many of the reviews seem to be older as I have not had any issues, both units that I have work flawlessly to upload content automatically to FRAME.IO via WiFi after working in the field with the R5 and R6. I am very happy the purchase and experience to date. I look forward to seeing all the advances that are coming!

The documentation on how to complete the entire C2C workflow up and back from frame.io in its entirety is very poor and fragmented. We someone to make a video about every necessary step. One you figure it all out the monitor delivers on almost everything promised EXEPT THE ABILITY TO CONNECT TO WIFI. I tried in multiple locations on 2 units. I trust ATOMOS tho. For now I will connect the ethernet on set when I can to get remote clients footage. Bugs for sure but REALLY GREAT PRODUCT!!
Very disappointing expensive add-on with little value
So we purchased an ATOMOS CONNECT for our Ninja Vs .... here's what we've found out so far (8/11/2022, Ninja V firmware v10.81)... 1. MasterCaddy II drive enclosures no longer fit with the CONNECT connected. You have to use the newer smaller drives. Luckily we had some Angelbird AtomX Mini SDD to use. 2. Wireless Timecode is BROKEN! There is no way to join the CONNECT to other Bluetooth Timecode devices like a Zoom F6 field recorder. We've been unable to even join the CONNECT to a Ninja with the AtomX Sync module. 3. Integration with Frame.io REQUIRES you go through ATOMOS CLOUD ... which I'm sure they will want to charge a subscription for. Really don't understand why the CONNECT can't just directly connect to Frame.io. Why the complexity of going through ATOMOS CLOUD? 4. When using Camera to Cloud, the ProRes RAW codec is not available. The whole reason we use the Ninja Vs is for ProRes RAW. We wanted the CONNECT to upload H.265 proxies to link up later with the high quality ProRes RAW 12-bit files. So if you're using the CONNECT you're limited to ProRes. Sadly this looks to be a product they shipped with very few features working. It's really embarrassing to see ATOMOS over promise and UNDER deliver.
Incomplete product
Besides the absent features at launch mentioned in other reviews the device has trouble with connecting to any network, which is a bit of a challenge with a device intended for cloud connections. What little documentation exists is very poor. Atomos support was responsive but ultimately unhelpful. Very disappointing product, hopefully updates will solve it but I cannot recommend to anyone in its current state.
Takes a while to set up
It took a while to set it up. Had issues with it talking to the Sync Modules and trying to get it streaming. If I wasn't outside the return date I would send it back.
Missing functionality at lauch
The frame.io integration is missing, the proxy functionality I think as well. Its not well documented
Not Ready to Ship
I sincerely wish I could return it. So far, it's been unreliable. Too many compromises.
Still not working
Hey all, the WIFI connect to cloud part is still not woking as of this writing. the firmware 10.8.1 only let it connect to WiFi, but not cloud. So I'm waiting as many others are. The Ethernet does work great, but that's not what I bought it for. I hope fix soon, so I can make this a 5 star rating
