What is Mesh?

Stream videos, play online games, and browse social media by the poolside, in the back yard, or other outdoor area with the ASUS ZenWiFi BD5 Outdoor BE5000 Wireless Dual-Band 2.5G Mesh Wi-Fi Module. Supporting indoor and outdoor pole, wall, and tabletop installations, this IP65-rated weather resistance Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) module may be configured as a router or satellite for your mesh network. Covering up to 2500 square feet, the BD5 Outdoor can transfer up to 5 Gb/s over the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands with compatible devices.

AiMesh support allows you to operate your network with a single network ID (SSID) for uninterrupted connectivity as you to move across your home. Connect either of the two autosensing 2.5G Ethernet ports to your broadband modem to use it as a router. Otherwise, you can use them to connect computers, smart TVs, video game consoles, and other wired devices. Both ports are PoE+ compatible, which allows you to configure the module as an access point while transferring data and power from compatible devices. Use the ASUS Router app on your Android or iOS device to configure your network, including guest logins and parental controls.

Featuring two internal antennas with support for the 160 MHz channels, the ASUS ZenWiFi BD5 Outdoor is designed to deliver a total throughput of up to 5 Gb/s with compatible devices. Beamforming, MU-MIMO, OFDMA, and dual-band multi-link technologies help to provide strong, long-range connections.

Dual-Band Multi-Link

Multi-Link Operation (MLO) technology enables buffering-free connections by intelligently combining and switching between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

Efficient 4096-QAM Transmission

4K-QAM technology boosts data transmission rates by up to 20% over Wi-Fi 6/6E due to its higher QAM, which packs signals more densely, allowing for more data to be uploaded and downloaded in the same time frame as before.

Robust Design for Outdoor Installation

With ESD and surge protection, the BD5 Outdoor is designed to resist damage from electrostatic discharge. The IP65 rated exterior is certified to resist dust and water ingress.

A powerful heatsink and graphite sheets provide efficient heat dissipation and helps to ensure optimal performance in demanding conditions. The high-heat resistant exterior is designed to withstand harsh environments while the stainless steel screws prevent rust for lasting durability.

Easy Setup

Download and install the ASUS Router app to configure, manage, and monitor your network with guest logins and parental controls. You can also use it to generate usage reports for a visual overview of your network.

The powerful and user-friendly Smart Home Master tool allows you to configure multiple SSIDs for easier group and device management.
