ZWO ASI585MM Overview
Capture stunning, high-resolution planetary images with the ASI585MM USB 3.0 Monochrome Astronomy Camera from ZWO. Equipped with a Sony IMX585 CMOS sensor, the camera achieves 8.3MP resolution with low read noise and no amp glow. It transmits data to your computer quickly, thanks to the USB 3.0 interface and DDR3 256MB cache, with a frame rate as high as 47 fps. The camera's 38.7ke full well capacity allows for long exposures and helps avoid overexposure issues.
8.3MP Color Sensor
The ASI585MM features an 11.13 x 6.26mm back-illuminated Sony Starvis 2 sensor with a resolution of 3840 x 2160. The 2.9? pixels accommodate a full well capacity of 38.7ke. The sensor boasts a quantum efficiency of 91%. The 1/1.2" format makes it very suitable for solar and lunar imaging. It can also be used as an all-sky camera or a live camera to observe and monitor cloud cover, rain, meteors, etc.
USB 3.0 & 256M DDR3 Memory
The camera is equipped with a USB 3.0 transmission interface and a built-in 256MB DDR3 cache to ensure stable and secure data transmission. Under long exposure, it effectively avoids frame dropping and greatly reduces the glow effect caused by slow reading speed.
High Conversion Gain Mode
HCG mode comes on automatically when gain is set to 252 and keeps readout noise as low as 1.5e, while maintaining a nearly 12-bit dynamic range.
No Amp Glow
Using zero-glow amp circuitry, the ASI585MC eliminates amp glow?a weak infrared light source often created by traditional CMOS sensors, sometimes seen in the corners of uncalibrated images. You won't have to worry about it, even during high-gain, long-exposure imaging.
