AVPro Edge MXnet 1G Evolution II Overview
The TAA-compliant MXNet 1G Evolution II Encoder from AVPro Edge receives and encodes video and audio signals at resolutions up to DCI 4K60 4:4:4, along with control, power, and HDR metadata. This encoder supports HDMI 2.0, HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision up to 30 Hz and is designed for use with an MXNet switch or a multicast capable L3 switch and Cat 6A cable or with SFP fiber for longer runs. It features a new AVPro Edge ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) for enhanced video processing and support for audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for IMAX Enhanced soundtracks.
AVPro Edge ASIC
The AVPro Edge ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) substantially improves the fidelity of the decoded image.
JPEG 2000
- The JPEG 2000 encoding used by MXNet components optimizes compression efficiency for applications with limited bandwidth. It provides both lossless or lossy compression and parsable code streams.
- Genlock support for syncing a video source to decoders comprising a video wall for a tear-free screen appearance.
Up to UHD 4K60 Support
- This Evolution II Decoder supports video resolutions up to DCI 4K60 4:4:4/4:2:2 12-bit signals using limited, ultralight ICT compression.
- Supports up to DCI 4K60 4:4:4 8-bit and UHD 4K60 4:2:2 12-bit uncompressed video signals.
- Supports HDR 10, HLG, and Dolby Vision up to DCI 4K30.
High-Bit Rate Audio Support
- The Evolution II Decoder supports multichannel, high-bit rate audio.
- Supports audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS-X for IMAX Enhanced soundtracks and more. Other audio formats supported include PCM 2/5.1/7.1 Channel, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS, DTS-ES, DTS-HD High Resolution, and DTS-HD Master Audio.
OLED Window
- The front-panel OLED screen displays critical information, making setup and troubleshooting easier.
- The data window displays the IP address and the MAC address or can be modified to display up to 12-character custom names.
