AVPro Edge AC-EXO-X Overview
Send your 8K video signal over fiber up to 984' with this 8K HDMI over Multimode Fiber Optic Extender Kit from AVPro Edge. Bundling a transmitter and receiver with IR support, the versatile kit boasts a beam-focusing lens assembly designed to prevent refraction and downline light scatter while reliably maintaining the original signal bandwidth. Compatible with HDMI 2.1 and offering HDCP 2.3 compliance, the kit also features comprehensive EDID management and support for Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10, and HLG.
Multimode OM2/3/4 Compatibility
The kit may be used with all classifications of multimode fiber. Total distance varies per classification. Using a 40 Gb/s, 8K60 4:2:0 signal, the following distances have been confirmed: OM2/131', OM3/656', OM4/984'.
Long-Distance Transmission
HDMI signals extended up to 984' using OM4 multimode fiber, safely delivers content with zero loss of fidelity in the most challenging installations.
Near-Zero Latency & Two HDMI Outputs with Scaling
Latency is less than eight microseconds, which is measurable but visually imperceptible. The dual-HDMI output offers full-bandwidth passthrough via the first HDMI port and a scaled output via the second HDMI. Scaling can be selected to be 8K to 4K, 8K to 1080p, and 4K to 1080p.
Comprehensive EDID Management
Today's leading-edge NextGen systems must now contend with mixed resolutions of 8K, 4K, and in application-specific circumstances, legacy HD displays, with the potential for EDID conflicts ever-present. This kit is equipped with a robust EDID management system that enables juggling video resolutions and audio codec combinations for EDIDs that provide a congenial match for reliable system operation. An EDID Copy function allows for acute copying and saving of known, working EDIDs, for stable kit operation and HDCP repeatability.
Flexible Control Options
Configurable, bidirectional control for IR and RS-232 signals provides a carefully nuanced added bonus consolidating wiring to a solitary pull and mitigating the use of supplemental devices for a clean, efficient installation. Simplified control requirements can take advantage of the kit's I-PASS, forwarding commands directly from a control system IR-out port into the transmitter unit I-PASS input, proceeding to the receiving end and routing directly from the receiver unit's IR-out into the display's IR input jack (if equipped) or through an attached IR emitter.
