The V-mount Sharkfin Battery Plate from Core SWX enables you to continuously power any camera with a V-mount battery plate, such as the RED V-RAPTOR cinema camera, using two V-mount batteries. The sharkfin design mounts two batteries side by side, enabling you to remove a depleted battery while leaving the remaining battery connected, resulting in no camera downtime. This plate incorporates two D-Tap output ports for powering accessories.
The batteries can power the camera by discharging at the same time, or you can choose to discharge them one at a time and use the hot swap function. Since the ports on some cameras such as the RED V-RAPTOR are on the back, to prevent blocking them, the plate can slide away from the back of the camera to make room for your cables to plug in. Each D-Tap and power output to the camera is unregulated 11 to 17 VDC.

Does NOT fit the V Raptor
I just received this and it will NOT fit the V Raptor if you have the RED tactical top place and V lock battery adaptor. The 2 battery lugs on either side of the battery adaptor won't allow the Skarkfin plate to mount. Have to send it back.
Great Build Quality - Doesn't fit Ursa V-Mount Plate
There's very little information out there on this - but I purchased it to test out with my Ursa 12K. The build quality is great - very heavy, which is nice for counter balancing. Love the adjustments you can make to it - and how the batteries should sit on the back, an even weight distribution for shoulder mounting - nothing banging into the side of your head... The Battery Locks are more secure than the majority of V-Mount plates I've seen (always an issue). All of this was great. However.... the V-Mount connection for the Camera is too wide to slide into the Ursa V-Mount plate, which is pretty standard. For this reason, I give it 4 stars - and am sending it back.
