This Baader M48 Quick Change Ring from Alpine Astronomical is part of the Baader M48 Quick Changing System, which allows quick and easy removal and replacement of eyepieces, Baader QuickLock eyepiece clamps, cameras, and other accessories. Made of steel, the Quick Change Ring has a 4mm optical length with an M48 external thread on one side and a 50mm dovetail ring on the other.
