Meridian Technologies ST-8C Overview
The DigiSlim ST-8C-1 Unidirectional 8-Channel Contact Closure Data System Transmitter Card (Multimode, 1300nm) from Meridian Technologies incorporates an all-digital encoding technology that transmits 8 channels of simplex contact closure data over a single multimode fiber, when used with the SR-8C-1 Receiver Card. The DB-25 connector is used for easy connection of the contact interface. Status indicators provide visual indication of the operational status of the contact.
The transmitter card can be installed in Meridian's card / desk chassis or 19" racking frames. The system can be configured in either star (module-to-rack) or trunking (rack-to-rack) configurations. The transmitter card can be converted to a standalone module with the separately available SR-500 1-Slot Desk / Wall mount chassis (12 to 24 VAC).
