The preamp sports a high-voltage MOSFET design that delivers authentic-sounding tubelike tones without the weight and size associated with vacuum tubes. The BQ500 features a balanced XLR DI output for PAs and audio interfaces, a headphone output with speaker emulation for silent practice, a stereo aux input for rehearsals, and a 4-ohm speakON speaker output for connecting to external cabinets. The rugged steel chassis is designed to survive the rigors of years of touring. The BQ500 features protections against short circuits, thermal overloads, and low speaker impedance, and the universal internal power supply supports all power types for global compatibility.
