Designed for anyone with a taste for TR-808 / TR-909 sounds, the erica synths Hexinverter Mutant Bundle combines four reissues of classic Hexinverter drum modules including the Mutant Bassdrum, Mutant Snare, Mutant Hi-Hats, and Mutant Clap. Each module was developed in close collaboration with Hexinverter and feature several enhancements allow you to explore well beyond the classic TR drum sounds. The modules have been redesigned with a hi-fi signal path for optimum sound quality.
Add the sounds of the TR-808 bassdrum to your modular rig with the erica synths Hexinverter Mutant Bassdrum, a fully analog bassdrum module in Eurorack format. The module was inspired by the legendary 808 drum machine and features a completely redesigned signal chain that utilizes low-noise opamps. The Mutant Bassdrum ships with a ribbon power cable and mounting screws.
- Analog bassdrum circuitry capable of vanilla TR-808 sounds

- Analog bridged-t sinewave oscillators, for those organic-sounding tones we've come to love from the 808
- Tone control blends between the two sinewaves of different frequency
- Shell Pitch lets you tune one of the sine waves, to change the pitch of your snare drum
- Snappy adds some noise to the snare
- Analog white noise generator feeds the Snappy circuit
- External input lets you patch any sound source you like into the Snappy generator
- Voltage control of Snappy decay
- Snappy feeds into an analog selectable high-pass or bandpass filter
- Voltage control of filter cutoff frequency
- When nothing is plugged into the cutoff CV input, the SNAPPY envelope or the adjustable sinewave from the Shell generator normalize through the CV attenuverter for cutoff CV. A jumper on the back of the module allows you to select which of these internal modulation signals are routed here
- Filter has three resonance settings: classic 808 (low resonance), high resonance, and self oscillation

The module was inspired by the legendary TR-909 drum machine and generates classic 909 claps. However, several enhancements have been made resulting in some much-needed range and depth. The clap is a highly versatile module and can be used as a voltage-controlled linear feedback shift register (LFSR) noise oscillator as well as a powerful percussion synthesis engine. The Mutant Clap ships with a ribbon power cable and mounting screws.
- Feature-rich analog handclap percussion synthesis reminiscent of the 909
- Pitch control of noise generator means you can create everything from vanilla 909 claps to broken chiptune-like alien sounds
