Simmod Brass UV Cut-Off Filter Overview
Designed to block ultraviolet light, while allowing visible light to cleanly pass, this 77mm UV Filter from Simmod is a specialty filter that helps to achieve accurate and precise colors. This unique filter features 32 layers of multicoating, which further serves to minimize surface reflections and maintains light transmission for consistent color accuracy and image acuity.
Front Threads
The front threads on the filter allow users to stack filters by screwing them into other Simmod filters.
Secure Attachment
It takes two full turns to mount the filter onto the lens. This feature will securely hold the Simmod filter through the most demanding shoots.
99.2% Light Transmission
Simmod can offer a 99.2% transmission rate by using highly polished Schott glass and advanced coatings.
Resistance Coating
Seven layers of nano coating on each side offer scratch resistance. With a combined 14 layers of nano coating, water beads will roll off your filter, while oil and fingerprints can be gently wiped off. Dust and debris won't adhere to the filter either and can be removed with a puff of air.
Multicoating
The filter is multicoated with 16 layers of coating on each side. That's a combined total of 32-layers of protective and enhancement coating. Multicoating reduces unwanted internal reflections and ghosting that can compromise your images.
UV Protection
The filter blocks UV light and reduces the bluish cast of daylight. This can affect color accuracy, especially at higher altitudes.
Brass Construction
The properties of a brass filter ring minimize the chance of jamming or binding when screwing the filter onto the lens or stacking filters.
Slim Design
This filter is slim enough to use on wide-angle lenses without experiencing vignetting due to its 3.2mm size.
