Kase Wolverine Magnetic 82mm Anti-Laser Protective Filter with Adapter Ring

The Wolverine Magnetic Anti-Laser Protective Filter from Kase has a coating that reduces laser energy from passing directly or indirectly through a lens and damaging a camera's delicate image sensor. This layer of protection is suitable when shooing in environments where lasers may be present, such as concerts, stage shows, bar scenes, parties and more. Common laser pointers have a 1- to 5-milliwatt output range, while stage laser lights may reach more than 10 watts, and architectural applications may feature laser lighting up to 40 watts. Exposure to laser light may damage an image sensor or sensor's coating, which may manifest as red, purple, or blue spots, or in extreme cases as vertical or horizontal streaks. In addition to reducing the level of laser energy transmission, this filter also acts as a light pollution filter, reducing image discoloration from ambient artificial light sources.

This filter is made of shockproof optical glass and features 52 layers of multicoating and resistance coating. It is water and oil resistant, making it suitable for use in harsh environments and inclement weather, yet still easy to clean. The aluminum filter attaches instantly to the 82mm magnetic adapter ring and can be removes just as quickly. The slim filter ring design is suitable for use with wide-angle lenses without vignetting.
