Kase Revolution Magnetic Anti-Laser Filter (77mm)

The 77mm Revolution Magnetic Anti-Laser Filter from Kase has a coating that reduces laser energy from passing directly or indirectly through a lens and damaging a camera's delicate image sensor. This layer of protection is suitable when shooing in environments where lasers may be present, such as concerts, stage shows, and parties. Common laser pointers have a 1- to 5-milliwatt output range, while stage laser lights may reach more than 10 watts, and architectural applications may feature laser lighting up to 40 watts. Exposure to laser light may damage an image sensor or sensor's coating, which may manifest as red, purple, or blue spots. In extreme cases, vertical or horizontal streaks can appear. In addition to reducing the level of laser energy transmission, this filter acts as a light pollution filter, reducing image discoloration from ambient, artificial light sources.

This filter is made of shockproof, multicoated optical glass. It is water- and oil-resistant, making it suitable for use in harsh environments and inclement weather yet easy to clean. The aluminum filter attaches instantly to the magnetic adapter ring and can be removed quickly and easily. Up to four filters can be stacked atop the adapter ring. The slim design is suitable for use with wide-angle lenses.
