Cambo WRE-CA-II Overview
Enabling the use of Canon EF-mount lenses on a Cambo Wide RS-series technical view camera, the WRE-CA MKII Lensplate is fitted with an electronic motorized aperture control for full compatibility with EF lenses. This configuration requires the use of a digital back featuring a built-in shutter, such as the Phase One IQ3-100, which can function as a shutterless digital back with a sensor-activated electronic shutter function.
The WRE-CA incorporates a rechargeable lithium-ion battery to permit motorized aperture adjustment and has a built-in OLED screen to display the lens's focal length and selected aperture setting. The internal battery is rechargeable via a micro-USB port, and included with the plate is an external power bank that can be used to fully recharge the battery up to two times.
- Suitable for Cambo WRS, WRC, and Phase One XT cameras.
- For use with digital backs that have on-sensor (rolling) shutter
- In general only the Canon tilt/shift lenses have a large enough image circle for use with these digital backs.
- Internal battery charges over USB-C.
