Preset Selector

• L1 - Linear: Is the totally linear preset. The speaker curve response is perfectly linear. It is ideal when listening outdoor or in low reverberation rooms, at medium distance, and at a medium or high sound-pressure level.
• L2 - Linear High Pass: This preset is the same as L1 with a 24 dB/oct high-pass filter at 100 Hz. To be used when the speaker is a part of a bigger system, when is a satellite of a subwoofer system, or when the application is speech reproduction.
• L3 - Linear Low Level Playback: This preset is linear with a gentle +3 dB boost at low frequency. To be used when playing at low level or for playing back music.
• L4 - Linear Indoor: This preset is linear with a gentle -3 dB shelf at low frequency. It is ideal for a better sound balance in reverberant rooms and for indoor speech reproduction.
• C1 - Close: Close listening preset. To be used when the average listener is closer than 3 meters. The preset shows a gentle -3 dB shelf in high requencies. The sound balance is natural and never aggressive.
• C2 - Close High Pass: This preset is the same as C1 with a 24 dB/oct high-pass filter at 100 Hz.
• F1 - Far: Far listening preset. To be used when the average listener distance is more than 10 meters. The preset shows a +3 dB shelf in high frequencies to compensate air absorption. The clarity and intelligibility in distance are improved.
• F2 - Far High Pass: This is the same as F1 with a 24 dB/oct high-pass filter at 100 Hz.
• S1, S2 - Side Coupling Presets: These presets are linear when the speaker are coupled side to side. These presets are properly designed for speakers coupled with a horizontal coupling angle from 70? to 80?. The front of the cabinets shall be split, and the rear of the cabinets shall be close. The S2 preset features the low-frequency high-pass filter.
• U1, U2 - Vertical Coupling Presets: These presets are linear when the speaker are coupled vertically. The vertical coupling angle can vary from 0? to 10? in 2? steps. Smaller coupling angles offers a narrower directivity but a better sound projection and far distance definition. The U2 preset features the low frequency high-pass filter.

Thanks to the proprietary RDNet networked management and control, every KX speaker provides in-depth remote monitoring through multiple sensors. The system engineer has immediate feedback of transducer status, fan speed, temperature, VU meters, limiters, and much more.

100x25? Waveguide with Coherent Directivity

This special waveguide design allows the deployment of multiple KXL 4-As. For excellent control of directional characteristics in difficult acoustic environments, intelligibility is significantly increased.

Precision Transducers

Low Frequency

• The 4-inch pure titanium dome NDT995 compression driver maximizes linearity, precision and long-term reliability. Its motor structure features a high flux density neodymium magnet assembly, ultralight edge wound aluminum wire, a 4-slot phase plug, and a copper ring design to deliver exceptional power handling, sensitivity, and low distortion across its operating bandwidth. With a very low crossover point at 750 Hz, this allows a better impulse response, fast decay, and superior efficiency. Lightweight and powerful, RCF neodymium drivers are a reference in performance and reliability.

High Frequency

• The two 10-inch Hypervented woofer of the Precision Transducers line enable a compact, slim design while delivering high power. The magnetic structure features a large neodymium magnet, ensuring extremely high flux density within the gap. The newly designed aluminum basket and magnetic assembly provide excellent heat dissipation and significantly reduce power compression. Special air-forced ventilation is incorporated into the voice coil, magnet assembly, and basket, optimizing cooling efficiency. The M-roll surround and spider design ensure superb linearity and highly accurate sound reproduction.

RDNet Network Control

• RDNet is an advanced platform for integrated monitoring and control of sound systems, from small live and installed setups to massive arena systems. Based on a robust networked architecture, RDNet combines system control, line array design, and comprehensive audio measurements into a single powerful software package.
• Engineers and technicians can intuitively manage every device on the network, from individual components to multiple groups. The platform provides full DSP control of compatible devices, with flexible configuration tools for perfectly tuning the system response at maximum speed. The enclosure is made of high-quality Baltic birch plywood glued with water-resistant adhesive and coated with weatherproof polyurea paint, ensuring excellent waterproofing, UV resistance, corrosion protection, and durability against abrasion, impacts, and mechanical stress. The solid machined aluminum structure efficiently dissipates heat fanlessly, improving enclosure stiffness, while the high-strength structural steel rigging ensures a high safety factor for secure weight management. Die-cast aluminum handles with ergonomic rubber grips enhance usability.

Bass Motion Control

• KX speakers equipped with Bass Motion Control (BMC) produce the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity. The BMC method creates a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that limits over-excursions. Traditional high-pass filters protect the woofer from over-excursion but change the phase/frequency response. In contrast, the new BMC algorithm protects the woofer allowing total freedom of signal reproduction.

New perspective on linearity

• KX speakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced digital FiR technology, conceived to deliver transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect imaging to the listener. The special FiRPHASE processing distributes sound to all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies in the system. The algorithm corrects phase and amplitude (if necessary) by taking into account the weak points of the transducers and the resonances or cancellations due to the cabinet of the loudspeaker.
