It offers four DMX connectors and dual Gigabit network ports for up to 16 universes of Art-Net, sACN, or ONYX X-Net protocol.

As a member of the innovative ONYX operating system, the NX1-16 has expanded capabilities. The NX1-16 includes a high-brightness 10.1" HD multi touchscreen, four assignable parameter encoders, 10 full motorized playback faders, four freely assignable buttons, plus an extra playback and function key hybrid array. A dedicated Master Go section rounds out the efficient front panel design with go, pause, snap, and release options.
