Control your stage, studio, or live entertainment lighting system with the MagicQ MQ250M Stadium Console with 64-Universe Support and Flight Case from ChamSys. This professional stadium/theater lighting control console can control up to 64 DMX universes and features 10 motorized fader playbacks, 10 encoder playbacks with RGB illumination, dual motorized crossfaders, and backlit buttons. It also features a built-in 15" multitouch display and an additional 5" encoder touch display. A separately available upgrade allows you to expand the console capabilities to support 128 universes.
The console features four direct 5-pin DMX outputs and four network ports for connectivity and management, and you can output your console management display using a DisplayPort for an external monitor. There are also audio inputs/outputs, MIDI input/output ports, a 10Scene port, and LTC timecode ports. Its built-in UPS provides a battery-powered safety feature for when power is suddenly interrupted. The console includes two desk lights, a DisplayPort-to-HDMI cable, and a flight case.
64 Universes Direct from the Console
On the MQ250M, all universes of DMX are available directly through the network ports on the rear of the console over industry standard lighting protocols�sACN, Art-Net, and Pathport�without the need for additional processing nodes. With its built-in universal power supply (UPS), the MQ250M is a complete 64-universe standalone all-in-one lighting-control solution. An upgrade to 128 universes is available separately.
Motorization
Thanks to its motorized functionality, the playback section can be used for multiple purposes with shortcut buttons to change functions. With 10 motorized faders, 10 playback encoders per bank, and up to six banks, a total of 180 playbacks can be accessed at the touch of a button.
The MagicQ MQ250M supports many different fader modes enabling the playback section to be used in a wide variety of applications:
- Programmer modes give access to intensities for each patched fixture, to intensities of groups of fixtures, or to individual channels of a fixture. The selected modes enable instant access to the intensities or channels of the currently selected fixtures.
- Master modes provide instant master control of individual fixtures or groups of fixtures without having to preprogram masters�for those live moments when lights are flaring in cameras or key lights need modifying.
- Dual 100mm manual crossfaders together with the prominently placed large Go and Back buttons provide the ultimate theatre control experience.
Playback Encoders
A multi-array of different functions can be assigned to the playback encoders with full legending directly above on the display presenting the current function to the user. The playback encoders can be set to controlling intensity, LTP channels, FX size, FX speed, rate and time. They can also can control cue stacks of their own, be tied to the fader playback below, or even control a whole bank or page of playbacks.
Illumination and Customization
The MQ250M lights the way with backlit keys, illuminated fader tracks and encoders, and glowing pockets. Together with updated graphics, this gives Lighting Designers freedom to visibly configure the console for their needs. Each playback fader track and playback encoder top has full RGB illumination enabling its function to be clearly indicated. Users can select standard functions, or customize each Cue Stack individually, for example, to separate the main cues from bump cues.
Compatibility
The MagicQ MQ250M is built on stadium software, which has been proven to work for 200-universe shows with thousands of fixtures. Show files are fully compatible between MQ250M, Stadium Connect, and all other ChamSys consoles making it easy to move between consoles. Unique to ChamSys, show files are both forward and backward compatible, so no need to worry about software versions.
