ARX Remote Selector Overview
The ARX Audibox Remote Selector is a dual-channel stereo output selector designed to route one stereo XLR input to either of two stereo XLR output pairs. With quiet operation and remote control capability, it?s an ideal solution for speaker zone switching, A/B comparisons, and flexible signal routing in live sound, AV, and installed systems.
Silent and Seamless Output Selection
At the core of the Remote Selector is ARX's proprietary SoftSwitch technology, which ensures noise-free switching between Output A and Output B. The unit routes a single stereo XLR input to one of two output paths without pops or clicks, making it suitable for critical listening or public address environments.
Remote Control Operation
The Remote Selector can be triggered in two different ways:
- Mode 1: Relay closure via external remote switch and 12 to 24 VDC wall power
- Mode 2: Control voltage supplied directly from an automation or EWIS panel
By default, Output A is active. Applying 12 to 24 VDC to the control connector switches to Output B, providing reliable automated switching.
