Free yourself from wires and hand controllers with this Vixen Optics Wireless Unit for Select Telescope Mounts. Attach the unit on a compatible motorized mount, pair it with your smartphone or tablet running the Vixen StarBook Wireless app, and operate the mount from your device. You can tap an object on the star chart on your device's screen, and the mount will slew into the field of view and begin tracking. Performing alignment on three or more stars assures higher slewing accuracy, and the wireless unit will remember the alignment data even after having been turned off. The StarBook app provides a wealth of information on celestial objects from the Messier, NGC, and IC catalogs, as well as the sun, moon, and planets, and you can customize their display. The wireless unit features an autoguider port for astrophotography.
