Product Overview
The MAX3031EEUE+ is a ±15KV ESD protected, 3.3V quad RS422 transmitter in 16 pin TSSOP package. This high speed transmitter sends digital data transmission signals over twisted pair balanced lines in accordance with TIA/EIA-422-B and ITU-T V.11 standards. The transmitter output is protected to ±15KV using human body model. The MAX3031E has slew rate limiting function to minimize EMI and reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables. The hot swap capability of this transmitter eliminates false transitions on data cable during power-up or hot insertion. It is low power, ESD protected, pin compatible upgrade to the industry standard 26LS31 and SN75174 devices. This device is used in V.11/X.21 interface application.
