Product Overview
The MAX5496ETE+ is a 10bit dual non-volatile linear taper digital potentiometer in 16 pin TQFN package. The device combines a single 1024 position potentiometer and the internal programmable voltage dividers and variable resistors perform the function of a mechanical potentiometer but replaces the mechanics with a pin-configurable 3-wire serial SPI compatible interface. It is a 2 terminal variable resistor which is ideally suited for applications requiring low temperature coefficient voltage dividers such as low-drift, programmable gain amplifiers.
- Supply voltage range is 2.7V to 5.25V (single supply operation)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Dual ±2.5V supply operation
- Wiper position stored in non-volatile memory and recalled upon power-up
- Data rate up to 7MHz
- Ratiometric temperature coefficient of 5ppm/°C
- End to end resistance is 10Kohm at ±25% tolerance and temperature coefficient is 35ppm/°C
- 1.5µA (max) standby current
- Reliability of 50,000 wiper store cycles (TA = 85°C)
- Reliability of 50 years wiper data retention (TA = 85°C)
