Lian Li LANCOOL 215 Reviews
Best bang per buck budget case
The Lian Li Lancool 215 is an amazing budget case. It comes with all the fans you need (rare for a budget case). It's pretty to build in, even for a beginner, while being easy to enough to clean. I wouldn't purchase the case for more than $85~ however, at that price range you can get better cases.
Overall pretty great
This is a pretty nice case. It's a little expensive but it does mostly translate into a quality case that looks nice and has amazing air flow. I paired mine with a couple bequiet! Fans for a quiet, air cooling build.
good budget case
A great budget case, really love the two giant quiet fans on the front panel. It can hold atx motherboard, but the clearance below the motherboard will be very limited.
Amazing airflow budget case
I bought this case based on the recommendation of gamers nexus YouTube channel. The gamers nexus YouTube channel does extremely thorough reviews on cases and this was their best all around case recommendation. Pros: - The 2 front 200mm fans pull in amazing airflow - my CPU and GPU temps in this case are great - the RGB on the front 200mm fans looks amazing and really makes the case stand out aesthetically - there are 2 easy to use SATA SSD mounts - HDD cage is removable - the PSU area is roomy and allows for shoving extra unused cables out of sight - fans on top of the PSU shroud look super aesthetic and provide great airflow to my blower style GPU - there is a lot of space around the edges of the motherboard for cable magnet and cable flow. You don't have to jam your fingers into super tight spaces trying to plug the CPU 8 pin power in etc. - glass side panel looks great - overall looks cool as heck and is really easy to build in Cons: - front panel a little hard to get off, it's also plastic but not a huge deal - there is a lot of room to shove unused cables in the PSU area but the cable management isn't super high tier. Not a ton of great routing or tie down options but that's what you would expect for a budget case. - Side panels are hard to put on, takes a few times of shoving into the right spot. - easy to get finger prints on the glass panel because of lack of grips when installing it so you might want to wear gloves or have some windex handy - the ARGB connector that Lian LI provides that connects the fan controller to the motherboard did not work for me. The 2 front fans and lian li logo Rgb would not sync with my motherboard using the fan controller. I had to buy a 1 to 3 ARGB splitter from cooler master on amazon for 10$ and that solved my issue Overall solid case and the cons are minor. Would highly recommend, especially if you have an airflow build. If you have a liquid build you may want to consider higher end
Excellent Case
I used this case to build my first gaming pc, and it came packed well, my case had a dent on the back but nothing I could not fix. Case is a good size and has good management for cables, the case cables are another story though, they are stiff and can be tricky to plug in if you are trying to hide them in a certain area. I did not use the included fan hub to control the speed of my fans as they would have been running full speed so I plugged them in directly to my motherboard and tuned them in bios but controlling the RGB with the hub has been easy. Airflow is excellent, though you will have to tune fans in bios to your liking if they are not quiet. Though in my experience the 200mm fans included were not loud even at full rpm. I could not notice them running even while playing cyberpunk. I would definitely purchase this case if youre looking for a different look from the standard 3 fans in the front and excellent airflow. First experience buying from and will definitely come back!
For the price its unbeatable
Got this case for a PC I built for my son. Its well made, well finished, and includes things usuallyfound on much higher price cases. Firsstly the fans, theyre very quiet, and do what theyre supposed to really nicely, there is a board included for rgb which just needs to be powered. The leds can be controlled by a switch next to the power button, and there is a plug which allows more leds to the chain. Secondly, there is a very nice area just behind the psu area which allows for 3 or more 2.5in hdds to be mounted. I like this touch... keeps cables and hardware nice and tidy. I made the system with a Noctua chronos air cooling for the CPU. Anyone who has done a build similar knows the heatsinks are MASSIVE. With the chronos cover plates I had ONE mm before it touched the glass. So if youre thinking of doing the same, bear that in mind. The glass is very nice with a slight tint, and slides out as opposed to simply falling out with a tilt. The front can be removed and there is a slide out plastic grill underneath which can be removed to access the installed hard drives. My build was: Lian li 215 case asus tuf x570 pro eifi mothboard 32gb Gskil Ripjaws V Samsung evo 970 512gb nvme 2x toshiba 2tb 2.5in ssd Ryzen 7 5700g cpu Noctua Chronos N15s cpu cooler Nvidia RTX2070 super gpu EVGA 750w non modular PSU. As you can see I didnt opt for a modular PSU but found there was plenty of space for cable tidying. I kept the fans stock and everything remained well within cooling tolerances even under load. To sum up, the lian li 215 was a very nice surprise. Its built well, has magnetic mesh and removable front, with everything you need for your build (there is also ample room for tjose with liquid cooler radiators) all at a very low price. You really cant go wrong with this case
Case is good but missing box of screws
The case is nice looking and has good cooling with just the pre-installed fans. However, the case did not come with any of the screws it was supposed to. None of the screws for motherboard, hdd, ssd, etc. There was also a piece of plastic broken on near the back panel when it arrived, but I'm not sure if its important piece.
