be quiet! Pure Rock Slim 2 Reviews
Great AMD Cooler, Acceptable Intel Option
As a cooler, this is a pretty brilliant unit with a solid 6 heatpipes and great machining work for the block, coupled with a solid radiator and impressively quiet 120mm fan. The form factor should work great in smaller cases, and overall airflow achieved is enough that pretty much any 130W TDP CPU should work brilliantly, and this includes the 11600k at stock clocks. The real downside is the Intel mounting, which is frankly substandard. Plastic push-through barbs holding a cooling fan under tension to the PCB was acceptable decades ago, but honestly a better solution wouldn't cost much extra, and I would have happily paid more for that system. The AMD mounting is drastically better, and for a Ryzen system this is the cooler I would recommend, but for Intel systems I would recommend something different for that mounting system alone, but BQ can fix that and I'd be right back to suggesting this as an excellent product for effective but less bling-centric builders. For now, Intel users should consider a 212, or spending more to get a Noctua option
