The ROG Strix B550-XE GAMING WIFI Motherboard features two onboard M.2 slots, one of which supports the PCIe 4.0 standard to provide maximum storage flexibility and fast data speeds via the AMD Ryzen processors. Both M.2 slots support up to the type 22110 socket and NVMe RAID for a performance boost.
Custom Delta Superflo Fan
A custom-made low-noise fan efficiently cools the area around the VRM to give you more overclocking headroom, and it can be turned on or off via the UEFI BIOS. To ensure longevity, the fan utilizes durable bearings with a 60,000-hour L10 lifespan.
I/O Shroud and MOS Heatsink with L-shaped Heatpipe
An L-shaped heatpipe allows for rapid and even heat transfer, while the MOS heatsink provides a large contact area for the MOSFETs and chokes. Together with the aluminum I/O shroud, it offers effective cooling.
Thermal pads help transfer heat from inductors and the phase array to the heatsink.
Digital power control and an array of power stages ensure the ROG Strix B550-XE GAMING WIFI Motherboard has the muscle to rock power-hungry multicore AMD processors.
The power stages are each rated to handle 90A, ensuring stable performance for even the most power-heavy Ryzen processors.
The 6-layer PCB used in the ROG Strix B550-XE GAMING WIFI Motherboard includes 2 ounces of thickened copper and mid-loss PCB materials for better heat dissipation and more stable performance.
Alloy Chokes and Capacitors
Durable chokes and capacitors are engineered to resist extreme temperatures and provide up to 110% better performance than the industry standard.
The ProCool socket is built to exacting specifications to ensure flush contact with the PSU power lines, enabling lower impedance and better heat dissipation.
The ROG Strix B550-XE GAMING WIFI Motherboard supports up to 128 GB DDR4 memory across four slots. OptiMem II technology improves trace layout to significantly reduce vias and crosstalk and enhance memory stability and compatibility, giving memory kits higher frequency margins.
Onboard Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) supports ultrafast wireless-networking speeds, improved capacity, and better performance in dense wireless environments for an optimal gaming experience. Pair your motherboard with ASUS Wi-Fi 6 routers to fully experience the networking potential of Wi-Fi 6.
Onboard 2.5 Gb Ethernet gives your wired connection a boost, with speeds that are 2.5 times faster than standard Ethernet connections for speedy file transfers, lag-free gaming, and high-res video streaming.
Built-in ROG SupremeFX audio technology ensures pristine audio for the ROG Strix B550-XE GAMING WIFI Motherboard. Along with ensuring a flat frequency response for a neutral, detailed sound signature, it offers two front-panel outputs driven by op amps that deliver high-quality audio to gaming headsets.
Effective shielding against electromagnetic interference preserves the integrity of audio signals for the best sound quality.
Audio line shielding blocks electromagnetic interference from the motherboard or add-ons to provide cleaner audio.
Two onboard op-amps provide exceptional audio for a wide array of headphones with impedances from 32 to 600 ohms.
Two-Way AI Noise Cancelation
This utility leverages a massive deep-learning database to reduce background noise from the microphone and incoming audio, while preserving vocals at the same time. Distracting keyboard clatter, mouse clicks, and other ambient noises are intelligently neutralized so you can hear and be heard while gaming or in calls.
Embedded Aura RGB LEDs illuminate the aluminum I/O shroud and Strix logo. The LEDs can be synced with other Aura-compatible hardware for a unified look.
The patented matte-black I/O shield comes pre-mounted for easy installation.
Diagnostic codes provide a quick reference to help resolve common installation or component issues.
A front-panel header allows customization of the chassis reset button, providing options for quick access to Aura lighting controls, DirectKey, or system reset.
Users can place a BIOS file onto a FAT32-formatted USB drive and simply plug it into the USB BIOS FlashBack port and press a button to update the (UEFI) BIOS. Updates can be made even if memory or CPU aren't present.
ROG Strix motherboards undergo an extensive certification program to ensure compatibility with a wide range of components and devices.
Take care of complex tuning with just one click. ASUS 5-Way Optimization is a system-wide tuning utility that overclocks the processor and tunes fan speeds to ensure the best balance between cooling and acoustics.
The TurboV Processing Unit (TPU) provides AI Suite 3 with the intelligence needed to automatically fine-tune voltages, monitor system stats, and adjust overclocking settings.
The Energy Processing Unit (EPU) automatically optimizes power consumption and maximizes savings with Away mode, a smart setting that creates an extreme energy-saving scenario by shutting down unused I/O controllers.
Fan Expert 4 provides comprehensive control over fans, liquid cooling pumps, and all-in-one (AIO) coolers. Control is also possible via the ROG UEFI. Whether you're cooling with air or liquid, Auto-Tuning mode intelligently configures all parameters with a single click. There's also an Extreme Quiet mode, which reduces all fan speeds to below the default minimum, keeping your system whisper-quiet when performing light tasks.
The Digi+ voltage-regulator module (VRM) delivers real-time control over voltage droop, allowing you to switch frequency and power-efficiency settings so you can fine-tune CPU voltage regulation for ultimate stability and performance.
