Description
The 1.5KE16CA from Taiwan Semiconductor is a 1.5KE series bidirectional transient voltage suppressor in DO-201 package. It has excellent clamping capability and low dynamic impedance. The leads are pure tin plated and solderable per JESD22-B102. It also meets JESD 201 class 2 whisker test.

- Peak power dissipation of 1500W at TA = 25°C, TP = 1ms and nominal voltage of 16V
- Peak forward surge current (Ifsm) of 200A (8.3ms single half sine wave super imposed on rated load)

- Operating junction temperature range from -55°C to +175°C
- Stand-off voltage of 12.9V and maximum reverse leakage current of 1µA
- Breakdown voltage of 14.4V (minimum), 17.6V (maximum) and test current of 1mA
- 67A maximum peak surge current and 23.5V maximum clamping voltage
- Less than 5ns fast response time from 0V to VBR and 0.086%/°C maximum temperature variation
