Designed for observers and imagers, the Sky-Watcher EQ-AL55i GoTo Mount Head delivers the smooth movement and tracking required for long-exposure astrophotography. The equatorial design and built-in polar alignment scope allow for fast and precise alignment with the capability to track along the right ascension axis and avoid the field rotation that altazimuth mounts suffer from, maintaining the subject's orientation throughout the exposure period. The brain of the mount is SynScan navigation, with an internal database of more than 42,900 celestial objects, multiple daytime and nighttime alignment-assistance procedures, deep-sky tours, and updatable firmware, controlled by the SynScan Pro app.
