So I bought a new cable from them for a new camera with zero research elsewhere. These updates to the existing line mean the cables are now much heavier which I assume will provide some technical advantages for durability and reliability. A bit of a picky point is that now my road kit is a little bit bulkier because yes the cables are that much bulkier than my old ones. I put a loop in the cable and clamp it elsewhere on a cage, but it twists in the camera port and loses connection if you bump it at all. I used another version of this cable for years with my Canon 5DIV. It was very reliable. When I got this USB-C version to match my R5, the first one was bad out of the box.
