Simply open the hinged core, place it around a single current-carrying conductor, and close the clamp to form an isolated current-measurement system. With a 100A input rating and a 100A:50mA current transformation ratio, it's well suited for monitoring AC motors, lighting, appliances, power supplies, and other AC equipment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eNon-Invasive Monitoring\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMeasuring heavy AC loads can be dangerous and complicated if you have to splice lines. This current clamp uses a ferrite core with a 13mm by 13mm opening to easily wrap around your existing cables. Once clamped, it provides a 50mA output at its 100A rated input and supports a frequency range of 50Hz to 150kHz.
