The Singh-Ray 95mm Mor-Slo 15-Stop ND Thin Mount Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing an exposure reduction of about 15 stops. This 4.5 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Mor-Slo filters are especially adept at maintaining neutral color fidelity and minimizing color casts that are inherent to such strong densities; however, a slight warming of the image can be expected due to the exaggerated exposure length needed to compensate for the 4.5 density.
Singh-Ray ring-mounted filters are constructed from highly polished proprietary glass to provide notable image quality and clarity. The thin ring mount design measures 4.6mm-thick and helps to prevent vignetting when used on wide-angle lenses. They do not feature front threads for stacking filters or using clip-on style lens caps.
