Kolari Vision ECLIPHSK Overview
Featuring an aluminum frame with small built-in magnets, the IR Hotspot Killer Magnetic Clip-in Filter for Sony E from Kolari Vision secures magnetically to the camera lens mount, and your lens then mounts on top. The filter sits securely between the camera and lens. It's compatible with full-frame Sony E-mount cameras.
Designed for full-spectrum modified or IR-dedicated cameras, this HSK filter removes hotspots that may result in IR photography. A hotspot is like a small circle in the middle of the image, appearing as if caused by reverse vignetting. Hotspots happen when you use lenses that don't prevent them, lenses that aren't necessarily ideal for IR photography. This filter enhances such lenses to remove hotspots. It achieves this by using very specific IR coating combined with a 4-stop ND factor.
The filter material is glass. A small removal tool is included but not required. The compact tool looks like a guitar pick and is included just in case, as the filter can easily be removed by hand.
