The Canon RP doesn't have the steel elements necessary to support the magnetic attachment of this filter. But it's mainly intended for use with full-spectrum modified cameras to let in IR and UV light. Having an extra layer of protection against dust \u0026amp; debris is just a no-brainer. Besides the obvious protective filter this product also comes with a magnetic metal plate that adheres to the plastic backing inside the lens mount. It surrounds the sensor providing a magmetic surface for the filter to attach to. This was a bit tricky to install but otherwise fairly strait forward. This part didn't come with any paper instructions so I had to go online to make sure I was doing it correctly.
