This external drive bay currently houses two 3.5" 8TB hard drives that can be configured into RAID 0, 1, JBOD, or SPAN, allowing you to modify this array to fit your personal preference. IoSafe's disaster-proof technology ensures your drives remain operational even in the worst environments, withstanding up to 1550&degF, and 72 hours submerged under water. Additionally, a locking front panel keeps the drives secure from the elements while a metal Kensington slot enables you to attach a cable lock, preventing possible theft. LED status indicators notify you on the health of your drives, general activity, and fan failure, assuring proper operation and stability.

On the rear of this external drive array is one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, providing data transfer speeds up to 10 Gb/s, making file organization fast and easy. Another USB Type-C port is accompanied by a USB Type-A port at the front of the device, allowing you to connect a variety of peripherals such as thumb drives or mobile devices for additional workstation flexibility.

IoSafe built the Duo to work with a variety of operating systems. It is preformatted for Windows 8.1 and 10, but can be reformatted for macOS 10.13 or newer, as well as Linux distributions that support USB Type-C.

Swappable Drives If you prefer to use a larger size drive or a different format, you may easily remove these drives and install ones that fits your needs. In the rare occasion of a hard-drive failure, the Duo creates two copies of your data on the two drives, ensuring your information is protected. Easy RAID Settings You can easily access the RAID pins located at the rear of the device and configure the device to the setting of your choice with the included jumper.
