The module maintains unity gain throughout the circuitry regardless of onboard settings. A 5-segment LED meter helps you keep an eye on gain-reduction levels. When an engineer is faced with program material with a high level of background noise, the 235L can either gate the signal at a preset threshold, or with the use of the expander function, can reduce the background noise to an almost undetectable level.
