Capable of delivering 500mA of output current with a dropout voltage of 300mV, this regulator is specifically designed for battery-powered systems. Their low quiescent current of 30µA makes it an excellent choice for such applications. Unlike many other regulators, the LT1763 regulator maintains well-controlled quiescent current that does not rise in dropout. One key feature of this regulator is its low output noise. When paired with an external 0.01µF bypass capacitor, the output noise decreases to 20µVRMS over a bandwidth of 10Hz to 100KHz. It remains stable with output capacitors as low as 3.3µF. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse battery protection, current limiting, thermal limiting, and reverse current protection.
