Save money and save energy by intelligently controlling your home's HVAC with the 4th Gen Nest Learning Thermostat with 2nd Gen Sensor from Google. Nest takes the guesswork out of controlling your home's heating and cooling by actively monitoring what temperatures you like - and when you like them. It then automatically sets up a Smart Schedule to adjust temperatures and suggest changes. Additional features include prioritizing clean energy, adjusting to outdoor conditions, and more. It's all controlled via a big borderless crystal lens display and the Google Home app. Installation can even be done by yourself and Nest conveniently works with most 24V HVAC systems. As an added bonus, a Temperature Sensor is included to monitor a room's specific hot/cold spots.
Install Nest Yourself
Getting set up with the Google Nest is easier than you think. Step-by-step instructions are available in the Google Home app and an included trim kit will help you cover up any imperfections. When it comes to power, there's no C wire needed as Nest uses Power Sharing, which draws power directly from the system as it heats and cools your home. However, you can always have a professional install Nest if needed.
Borderless Display
The borderless crystal lens display features Dynamic Farsight, which allows you to view useful information from across the room. The home screen is also customizable and able to show you the temperature, weather, a clock, and more.
Smart Savings
- Smart Schedule: Nest creates a heating and cooling schedule for your home based on what it learns about your preferred temperatures and when you like them. It will also suggest small tweaks to your system to help you save money.
- Natural Heating/Cooling: Mother Nature can have a great effect on your living conditions. Nest monitors outside heating and cooling, then adjusts your home's system to take advantage and save you money in energy costs.
- Adaptive Eco: Nest actively finds and sets an energy-efficient temperature that will both save you energy costs while you're away, but still keep your home comfortable when you return.
Energy Shift with Nest Renew
You can enroll in Nest Renew and have Nest use Energy Shift to automatically shift its energy usage to the times that it knows it will have access to cleaner and/or cheaper energy sources.
HVAC Health
Nest's System Health Monitor will keep tabs on your HVAC system to make sure it's running smoothly. If it isn't, it will send you alerts so you can address the issue and call in professional help if needed.
Smart Ventilation
Outside air quality is monitored to adjust your system's ventilation, letting healthy and mild air in when it's beneficial, and keeping harmful air out when quality decreases. Nest also works with other systems if available, such as a humidifier or dehumidifier system.
2nd Gen Temperature Sensor
Included with the Nest is a 2nd Gen Nest Temperature Sensor. The Nest supports up to 6 and when more than one are used, you can prioritize specific rooms over another or average the temperature across all rooms. With this single sensor in a room, you can fight hot or cold spots by setting the temperature you want the room to be, and when you want it to be that temperature. It wirelessly communicates with the Nest over a Bluetooth LE connection and the included CR2 3V lithium battery can run the sensor for up to 3 years. Setup and management is easy with the Google Home and Nest mobile apps.
