Axis Communications Q3558-LVE Overview
Based on the built-in ARTPEC-9 SoC, the Q3558-LVE 4K Outdoor Dome Security Camera from Axis Communications can take advantage of AI-powered object detection, tracking, and provide notifications on camera tampering and significant acoustic events. There's also hardware-based Axis Edge Vault cybersecurity to keep your data protected. The surveillance footage you can capture is in highly detailed 4K resolution, benefiting from electronic image stabilization, shielding against IR reflections, and various technologies to improve detail in challenging lighting scenarios. All of this is packed in a weather-resistant high-grade aluminum chassis that's vandal and impact resistant, and able to withstand extreme temperatures.
Low-Light Security
To ensure you see all of the essential details in your 4K security footage, Axis incorporates a trio of technologies: Forensic WDR, Lightfinder 2.0, and Optimized IR. Together they work to provide true colors in near darkness and other challenging lighting scenarios.
Hardware-Based Cybersecurity
Hardware-based Axis Edge Vault safeguards your device and data, while FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification ensures secure cryptographic key storage and operations. Even physical security is provided in the form of shock detection that will alert you if there's an attempt to interfere with the camera.
ARTPEC-9 AI-Based SoC
The integrated ARTPEC-9 AI-based SoC is engineered to provide low bitrate and manage AI-powered audio analytics, cybersecurity, imaging, and fast object detection. It incorporates a DLPU (Deep Learning Processing Unit) for its AI-based functionality. Features include:
- Axis Object Analytics: Preinstalled feature for detection, classification, tracking, and counting of people, vehicles, and types of vehicles
- Axis Image Health Analytics: Preinstalled to provide notifications if image is blocked, degraded, under-exposed, or redirected
- Acoustic Sensor: Working in conjunction with preinstalled Axis Audio Analytics, you can be notified when an a significant audio event occurs, even if there's no visual indicator. The sensor can detect screams, shouts, and changes in sound level
- Axis Zipstream: Compatible with Axis Zipstream, the camera can potentially provide onsite and cloud-based video storage, along with analytics to detect objects earlier and analyze events with more precision
