- Ideal for Lunar Observations
- Fits 1.25" Eyepieces and Accessories
- 0.9 Optical Density
- 13% Transmission
- Stackable with Color and ND Filters
With an optical density of 0.9 and 13% transmission, you can use the Celestron Neutral Density 0.9 Moon Filter to reduce the amount of light coming into your eye during lunar observations to improve the view and contrast. The filter transmits light uniformly across the entire visual spectrum while stepping down the light throughput by 87%making it more comfortable to view the bright moon from the first quarter phase through the full, and back towards the last quarter, all while maintaining color-neutral views without reflections, ghosting, or stray interference light. Its anodized aluminum housing is made to fit most 1.25" eyepieces and has female threads for stacking it with colored or specialty filters to further improve views when observing planets and other objects.
